On Tuesday, October 24th, Computech leadership students hosted our first quarter rally. For this rally, all of our hard working athletes, teachers, and students were recognized. The rallies started off with amazing enthusiasm from our Computech leadership students, Computech cheerleaders, and Edison cheerleaders. There were two rallies and at each rally everyone showed great enthusiasm. At both rallies our emcees were Brandon and Roan.
During the first part of the rally, the Computech cheerleaders performed their routine. After the cheerleaders’ performed, 7th and 8th graders from Hibler’s and Mellone’s class gathered together to play the game “This Blows”. During this game, participants had to blow a balloon with one breath when they were at the table and try to slide a cup off a table with the balloon.Whichever team got the cups off the table first wins. Everyone had a blast playing this game and seemed to enjoy it very much. After this game, our Edison Cheerleaders performed their routine as well. The next game was “Caterpillar Race”. During this game, participants had to line up as a group with balloons in between every person and walk together to thee other side of the gym without dropping the balloons. If they dropped the balloon, the group had to go back to the starting line and start all over. This game had such an amazing outcome. In between each game Computech’s students were recognized. Volleyball, Football, Cross Country, 4.0 students, and golf were recognized. We also had teachers play the games as well! We also had the band perform and they did such an amazing job! The Edison cheerleaders performed first and they had the crowd going wild with all of their amazing tricks and flips. Computech’s cheerleaders also performed and they did an fantastic job with their first performance. by Araceli Barrera, Crystal Vang, April Vang, Kaleela Xiong & Brissa Navarro
